Ski Areas Association
Situation:
The
Montana Ski Areas Association (MSAA) has existed for years but
had never been able to implement a state wide promotion or cooperative
advertising. Vision Marketing began a relationship with the MSAA
in 2001.
Action:
- Created
a funding mechanism and then executed for MSAA on two fronts;
MSAA corporate pass and MSAA sponsorships.
- Created and
identified one list of ski retailers across the state for improved
communication.
- Coordinated
and collaborated with Travel Montana for integration of MSAA programs
and Travel Montana via:
- Marketing
programs conceptualized, implemented and executed for INSA include:
- Advertising
campaigns
- EZ Ski
or Ride 1,2,3 learn to ski program
Results:
Funding of the
marketing arm has grown from $8,000 to a budget just short of $50,000
annually. Progress is beginning to develop real momentum and impact
on skier visits and consumer perception in Montana.
